Introduction to Load Impact
Load Impact is a new online service that allows you to see how much traffic your website can handle
Load Impact generates simulated user traffic to your site - for example it might simulate that 50 users are trying to load your web pages at the same time. While simulating the traffic from these 50 users, it also records how fast pages are loaded from your server. This lets you know how fast your site is (as experienced by a user) when it is being accessed by 50 users at the same time.

Traditional load testing required you to install, configure and operate your own testing infrastructure. Load Impact runs on our servers, over the Internet. You will always have access to your test configurations and your test results. You will never need to install or maintain any special software or servers for your testing.

Load testing has previously been quite difficult. Most load testing softwares would take a long time to learn to use properly. Load Impact is perhaps the most user-friendly load testing product you will ever find. To run a basic load test, all you have to do is enter the URL of the site you want to test.

Load Impact allows you to run load tests with up to 5,000 simulated users, accessing your site from several different geographic locations.
User session recorder
To properly simulate user behaviour on your site, Load Impact features a user session recorder that lets you surf around on your site like a regular user, while Load Impact records everything your browser is loading. The recorded session can then be used when you run your load tests, to make the simulated clients behave just as you did.

Load Impact features timeout, ramp-up and fixed load tests that allow you to grow in your load testing efforts and gradually run more advanced load tests.
Load test results and configurations always online
Load Impact allows you easy, 24-hour access to your test configurations and results. Repeating an old load test is as easy as pushing a button. There is no need to verify your test infrastructure or find the old configuration files you used for your last test, like you would have to if you were running your own test infrastructure.
